Welcome to the Advanced Bitcoin Miner Repair Course

You are officially enrolled in the Advanced Bitcoin Miner Repair Course – where hands-on training in board-level and chip-level repair meets professional mining technology. This program is designed for technicians who are ready to progress beyond basic troubleshooting and master Level 2–3 repair skills.

This advanced course blends in-depth technical training with immersive lab experience, preparing you to confidently repair and restore the most widely deployed Bitcoin mining hardware in the world.

Course Structure

This course is delivered over ten consecutive days (80 classroom hours + 16 hours self-study/assessment), combining 65% lab-based work with 35% advanced theory. Each day builds upon the previous with modules such as:

  • Advanced Miner Architecture
  • Precision Diagnostics & Troubleshooting
  • Power Supply & Voltage Regulation Repair
  • Board-Level & Chip-Level Repair
  • Control Board & Firmware Recovery
  • Signal Integrity & Communication Repair
  • Preventative Maintenance & Optimization
  • Capstone Practicum & Final Assessment

Each module includes instructor-led sessions, guided labs, and supervised repair work on actual mining rigs.

What You Will Learn

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Diagnose advanced failures at chip, board, and subsystem levels using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and professional tools
  • Rebuild and service power supplies, MOSFETs, capacitors, and voltage regulators
  • Remove, rework, and replace ASIC chips using reflow and hot air soldering techniques
  • Recover and flash firmware, restore control boards, and resolve communication errors (UART, I2C, SPI)
  • Apply preventative maintenance strategies to extend miner lifespan and efficiency
  • Demonstrate proficiency through a capstone repair practicum simulating real-world service environments

Capstone Practicum

You will complete an advanced hands-on assessment designed to showcase your Level 2–3 repair expertise:

  • Diagnose and repair simulated multi-component failures on ASIC miners
  • Perform independent board- and chip-level projects under instructor supervision
  • Develop a preventative maintenance and optimization plan for a mining facility

Course Requirements

Completion of the Bitcoin Miner Repair Technician Course (Level 0–1) or equivalent experience is strongly recommended. Prior comfort with electronics repair and soldering is preferred.

All tools and equipment are provided onsite, including:

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): gloves, glasses, antistatic gear
  • Professional diagnostic equipment: oscilloscopes, multimeters, hot air rework stations, soldering kits
  • Access to operational ASIC miners, control boards, and PSUs for practice
  • Software: diagnostic and firmware recovery utilities

Certificate of Completion

Upon successful completion of the course and final practicum, you will receive a Certificate of Completion, verifying your advanced skill set and readiness for roles in repair labs, mining farm operations, or independent repair services.

Certification

This course prepares you for the industry-recognized W3CB Advanced Miner Repair+ Certification, validating your ability to perform board-level and chip-level repairs on Bitcoin mining equipment.
